Landscape Architecture
is one of our three disciplines targeted at creating experiences for guests. In creating the area for experiences, the guests’ needs and the destination’s brand are taken into account as requirements.
A tourism offering reflects the brand of the region/destination. With this offering, the region communicates a certain message to its (potential) guests. By staging a tourism brand properly, the guest is able to experience what the region stands for. Tourism-oriented landscape planning therefore focuses on the design of an experience-rich offering within the given landscape, the planning of the entire sequence of the experience through individual scenes (dramaturgy) and the planning of interventions in the landscape (e.g. paths, recreational areas, observation points, landmarks).
Experience design does not necessarily entail a construction project. The interconnection and optimization of existing offerings, the creation of themes, dramaturgy, storytelling, innovative communication and perfect service design are all tools which allow for extraordinary guest experiences.
